# About Yeti

Yeti is a free website with 55 PDF and image tools: merge, compress, convert, edit, sign, OCR and more. There is nothing to install and no account to create.

## How it works

The files you choose are processed in your browser and are not uploaded to a server. The only exception is the optional web address mode of the HTML tools, which fetches the page through our server; the [privacy page](https://yetipdf.com/en/privacy) explains this in detail.

## How it stays free

Yeti’s costs are covered by ads on the home pages and the blog. There are no ads on tool pages or any screen where you process files.

## What it is built on
