Add Page Numbers
Add page numbers to your PDF in the position, format and style you want.
How Add Page Numbers works
Adds page numbers to a PDF. You choose the position, format, size, color and weight, or write your own format such as "Page {n} of {N}" ({n} is the page number, {N} the total). You can also set the number to start from.
"Skip the first page" leaves the cover unnumbered. "Facing pages" swaps the number between the left and right edge on even pages, for documents that will be printed like a book.
Frequently asked questions
Can numbering start at 3?
Yes, set the start number to whatever you need. Useful for files that continue another document.
Can I add a date or file name too?
Use Header and Footer for that; it adds dates, file names and Bates numbers alongside page numbers.
Is Add Page Numbers free? Do I need an account?
It’s free and there’s no sign-up. We don’t ask for an email address and we don’t put a Yeti watermark on your file.
Are my files uploaded to a server?
No. The file is processed in your browser’s memory on your own device and is never sent to Yeti’s servers. You can choose up to 20 files at a time, 25 MB each and 100 MB in total.
