Add Background
Place a color or an image (letterhead, logo, texture) behind your pages.
How Add Background works
Places a color or an image behind your pages: letterhead, a logo, a pattern or a subtle texture. The background goes underneath the page content, so text and images stay on top.
The image can be fitted to the page, scaled to fill it or stretched across it. Adjust the opacity to fade it, and apply it to all pages or only the ones you choose.
Frequently asked questions
How do I put a document I wrote in Word on letterhead?
Convert the document to PDF, then add an image of your letterhead as the background. An image with the same proportions as the page gives the best result.
What's the difference between a background and a watermark?
A background sits under the content and can cover the whole page. A watermark is usually added on top of the content as semi-transparent text or a logo.
Is Add Background free? Do I need an account?
It’s free and there’s no sign-up. We don’t ask for an email address and we don’t put a Yeti watermark on your file.
Are my files uploaded to a server?
No. The file is processed in your browser’s memory on your own device and is never sent to Yeti’s servers. You can choose up to 20 files at a time, 25 MB each and 100 MB in total.
