How Sign PDF works

Adds a visual signature to a PDF. Draw your signature on screen, type your name and turn it into a handwriting style, or upload a photo of your signature. You can also add initials, your full name, the date and free text, and put your initials on every page with "Apply to all pages".

Signatures you create are saved in this browser and ready for next time. This is a visual (electronic) signature and does not replace a qualified electronic signature. Our guide to signature types explains which one you need when.

Frequently asked questions

Is this signature legally valid?

For many everyday agreements where both sides accept it, yes. Courts, government bodies and public tenders usually require a qualified, certificate-based electronic signature, which this tool doesn't replace.

Can form fields be changed after I sign?

If fillable fields stay open, they can be changed. Fill in the form first and use Flatten PDF to make the fields part of the page before signing.

Is Sign PDF free? Do I need an account?

It’s free and there’s no sign-up. We don’t ask for an email address and we don’t put a Yeti watermark on your file.

Are my files uploaded to a server?

No. The file is processed in your browser’s memory on your own device and is never sent to Yeti’s servers. The limit is 25 MB and 200 pages per file.
