How Compare PDF works
Shows the differences between two PDFs side by side. In text mode, differences are found word by word: deleted words are marked in red and added words in green. It's ideal for seeing what changed between two drafts of a contract. In visual mode the pages are overlaid and each page shows what percentage of it differs, which suits drawings, designs and scanned documents.
Use "Swap" to change the order: the first file is treated as the original and the second as the new version.

Can I compare two scanned documents?
Visual mode works on scans too. For text mode, run OCR PDF on both documents first.
Can I compare three or more files?
Comparison is always between two files; if you add more, the first two are used.
Is Compare PDF free? Do I need an account?
It’s free and there’s no sign-up. We don’t ask for an email address and we don’t put a Yeti watermark on your file.
Are my files uploaded to a server?
No. The file is processed in your browser’s memory on your own device and is never sent to Yeti’s servers. You can choose up to 20 files at a time, 25 MB each and 100 MB in total.
