How Add Comments works

Adds sticky notes, highlights, underline and strikethrough, rectangles, circles, lines, arrows, freehand drawing and text boxes to a PDF. Alongside ready-made stamps such as APPROVED, DRAFT and CONFIDENTIAL, you can write your own stamp text.

Comments are added as standard PDF annotations, so they appear in the comment list in Adobe Acrobat, browser viewers and other programs, where they can be replied to. You enter your author name once and it shows on every comment.

Frequently asked questions

Can I make comments permanent?

Yes. Flatten PDF turns comments into page content; they can't be deleted or moved any more and look the same in every program.

Can I see and edit existing comments?

Comments already in the document appear in the list, and you can move and edit them with the select tool.

Is Add Comments free? Do I need an account?

It’s free and there’s no sign-up. We don’t ask for an email address and we don’t put a Yeti watermark on your file.

Are my files uploaded to a server?

No. The file is processed in your browser’s memory on your own device and is never sent to Yeti’s servers. The limit is 25 MB and 200 pages per file.
