Edit PDF
Change the existing text and images in a PDF directly; add new text, images and shapes.
How Edit PDF works
Changes the existing text and images in a PDF directly, and lets you add new text, images and shapes. Click some text to edit it in place; the tool tries to use the font embedded in the document, so the changed words match the text around them. Characters that the embedded font doesn't contain are drawn with a similar font.
On scanned pages the text is recognized first and then becomes editable. Every change can be undone (Ctrl+Z) and redone (Ctrl+Y), and the changes are written into the PDF when you save.
Frequently asked questions
Why does my edited text look slightly different?
PDFs often embed only the letters a document actually uses. If you type a letter that doesn't appear anywhere else, it's drawn with a similar font.
I want to change the same word throughout the document.
Find and Replace is faster for that: it lists every match and lets you choose which ones to change.
Is Edit PDF free? Do I need an account?
It’s free and there’s no sign-up. We don’t ask for an email address and we don’t put a Yeti watermark on your file.
Are my files uploaded to a server?
No. The file is processed in your browser’s memory on your own device and is never sent to Yeti’s servers. The limit is 25 MB and 200 pages per file.
