Flatten PDF
Turn form fields and comments into page content so the document looks the same everywhere.
How Flatten PDF works
Turns form fields and comments into page content. In a flattened form, the fields and their values can no longer be changed; notes, highlights, shapes and stamps are burned into the page and can't be deleted or moved. The document looks the same in every program.
You can flatten form fields and comments separately. With "Keep links" on, clickable links stay as they are.
Frequently asked questions
When should I flatten?
Before handing in a form you filled out, before sending a signed document, or whenever a commented document needs to look the same in every program.
Can flattening be undone?
No, fields and comments become part of the page. Keep the editable version as a separate file.
Is Flatten PDF free? Do I need an account?
It’s free and there’s no sign-up. We don’t ask for an email address and we don’t put a Yeti watermark on your file.
Are my files uploaded to a server?
No. The file is processed in your browser’s memory on your own device and is never sent to Yeti’s servers. The limit is 25 MB and 200 pages per file.
