PDF to Excel
Move the tables in a PDF into Excel with their rows and columns.
How PDF to Excel works
Moves the tables in a PDF into Excel with their rows and columns. Columns are detected from how the text lines up on the page. With "Detect numbers" on, values such as "1,234.56" become real numbers you can total and use in formulas.
By default each PDF page becomes its own worksheet; "Put all pages on one worksheet" joins a multi-page table into a single list. Bank statements, price lists and reports are the most common uses.
Frequently asked questions
Can I convert a scanned table?
Run OCR PDF first; the recognized text can then be turned into a table. Check the figures for recognition errors.
Why are merged cells split up?
PDFs don't store merged-cell information; the tool rebuilds the table from where the text sits. Merged header cells may need fixing by hand in Excel.
Is PDF to Excel free? Do I need an account?
It’s free and there’s no sign-up. We don’t ask for an email address and we don’t put a Yeti watermark on your file.
Are my files uploaded to a server?
No. The file is processed in your browser’s memory on your own device and is never sent to Yeti’s servers. You can choose up to 20 files at a time, 25 MB each and 100 MB in total.
