How File Attachments works
Embeds files inside a PDF, and lists, downloads or removes attachments already in it. Use it to carry a report's source spreadsheet, a quote's technical drawing or a contract's annexes in one file. Each attachment can have an optional description.
"Show the attachments panel on open" makes sure whoever opens the document sees the attachments right away. The tool strips hidden direction characters from attachment names and warns about file types that can run code or contain macros.
Frequently asked questions
Do attachments show in every PDF reader?
Adobe Acrobat Reader and most desktop readers show attachments in a panel. Some browser viewers and mobile apps may not.
How do I remove attachments before sharing?
Remove them one by one here, or use Sanitize Document to delete attachments together with metadata and comments.
Is File Attachments free? Do I need an account?
It’s free and there’s no sign-up. We don’t ask for an email address and we don’t put a Yeti watermark on your file.
Are my files uploaded to a server?
No. The file is processed in your browser’s memory on your own device and is never sent to Yeti’s servers. The limit is 25 MB and 200 pages per file.
